Actual sighting was at Devil's Lake State Park. Baraboo is the nearest town. A friend and I had hiked to the top of the Devil's Lake Bluff (approx 500 feet above lake level). There are dry, rocky prairies there. I saw one adult Monarch. Did not see it light on any plant.
