THREE MORE SIGHTINGS FROM MEQUON [14 MILES NORTH OF MILWAUKEE]
The following 6th grade students turned in these reports to me today:
ERIC SOUTHWELL: I was on the soccer field during gym class yesterday afternoon, May 16th (2 PM). The monarch I saw was faded with the right wing tattered. It couldn't fly for long periods of time, but it was fast enough so I couldn't catch it.
JESSIE DAVISON: I saw 2 female monarchs laying eggs on the outlot of my backyard. They had FULL COLOR on the wings (both)
Date sighted - May 16th (4-5 PM) Lac Du Cours subdivision.
KAITLYN PISTINER (via e-mail this evening)
Mr. Kupcho,
It's Kaitlyn, just telling you that I saw 2 monarchs in my prairie this evening at about 3:45 pm. Their wings were close to perfect condition and flying around clover, and other flowers that I haven't identified.
Sincerely,
Kaitlyn Pistiner, and I'm about a quarter off of
the Lake (Michigan)
