Female Monarch vouchered for Michigan Lepidoptera Survey. Flying 1 to 3 feet above the surface along a power line right-of-way corridor from west to east as it roamed in a northeasterly and southeasterly direction. Wild strawberry was in bloom. The specimen was not faded, had but a small (1/16 inch) tear in the border of the hind wing. The temperature was 65-70 degrees F. The sky was clear. It traveled about 100 yards before it was netted.
