While spending a week birdwatching from the deck of my sister and brother-in-law's home on Lake Sara near Effingham, IL, I put up a necter feeder on a deck facing window. Within 6 hours, a male rubythroat arrived for a a few days of free lunches. Sighted a second male May 9 when the first one ran off the interloper.
