Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 05/26/2001

Number: 1

Bryan, a studentefrom Mrs. Collin's 4th grade class at Sterling Memorial School, spotted the first monarch in our area. Upon close observation of the butterfly, he noticed that the wings looked new and brightly colored. This is probably a new butterfly, not one that migrated from Mexico.
