It was a fresh NEW monarch. I was bending over to pick up the pot of morning glory seedlings my brother-in-law had given me when it appeared about 10 inches from my nose. I have been watching the map and wondering if I would EVER see one this year.
I ran for my digital camera and when I got back outside it was gone. Oh I am so excited and happy.
