Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 06/10/2001

Number: 1

On sunday June 10th between 3:40pm and 5:00pm PST., two monarch butterflies were sighted at the Fullerton Arboretum at 1900 N. Associated Road, Fullerton, CA. They were videotaped. Two were taped while flying and one was taped while alight on some purple flowers. We do not know if they were adults or not. Entirely at our expense, we would be glad to send you a copy of the tape if it would help in this project. It was a very warm day despite a gusty onshore breeze. Fullerton is approximately 15 miles from the ocean. The sky was mostly clear with a few clouds commonly know as "mares tails". Sincerely, Josephine Quinn and Kevin Cooper
