Up to June 11 I had only seen one monarch butterfly although I had seen one on four different days. But today, while driving on a 15 mile trip I saw 5 monarch butterflys. I drive that trip several times a week and haven't seen a monarch before during this year. Unfortunately they were all along the roadside where the ditches are full of blooming flowers/weeds. It is not a safe place for a monarch to be. But I saw FIVE!
