I have been raising Monarchs for the past 10 years, in my classroom. I now have my own milkweed garden. This has been an intricate part of my program and continues throughout the year. I was not aware of this program and would very much like my children to know more about where our butterflies go. We do go on a fieldtrip to Pismo Beach, a Monarch Grove but beyond that they really don't understand. This year half my class are Hispanic( from Mexico) and it would have been wonderful learning and communicating with students at the other end of the migration/
