Finally, we've seen our first Monarch today, 14-June, 79 degrees 00 minutes longitude, and 45 degrees 13 minutes latitude.
It was large and healthy looking and was landing on milkweeds. Good wing condition. Second generation for sure. Maybe even third generation? We were getting worried that we'd never see one this year. They were reported close by in Huntsville and Bracebridge, Ontario about 4 weeks ago. But then we've had cold and rainy weather. Only in the last week have things warmed up nicely.
