I am just a backyard gardener and my primary goal is to naturally feed and attract butterflies, hummingbirds, songbirds. I don't use any feeders and have had my garden for 4 years. The birds and butterflies return and naturally feed in my garden every year. I saw my first Monarch on July 26, 2001. It was feeding on verbena bonsani. The rufus hummingbirds feed on them also, as well butterfly bush, cannas, bee balm.
