Monarch Butterfly- sitings 7-28, 8-4, 8-8. First we had seen. first 2 dates at our camp 1 mile south of Mt. Upton N.Y., last date, 1 mimle out of Sidney, N.Y. Wings looked very good, and bright. Milkweed is very sparse. Small patches by the roads, some has been cut by highway crews mowing. Have seen 2 patches in a pasture about 15 x 30 feet in size. Monarch's have been very scarce, but have had many sightings of Swallow tail's. Hope this helps in your study
