Signs of Fall

On August 14th, I found a hermit thrush (pretty sure) nest with 3 blue eggs. It was in a grass tussock, on the ground just next to a path I travel daily. Each time I go by a russet colored bird a little smaller than a robin flies off it. (I have since changed my path to avoid disturbing her).

Does this sound like a Hermit thrush and is this too late to raise a clutch of young? Will they mature soon enought to migrate?
