Local monarchs still mating and ovipositing. Checked both E. & W. of Toledo where they were raised in adequate outdoor structures. Dissections in both locations (8/26) showed the adults to be mature.

Migrators noted along the shore of L. Erie feasting on purple loosestrife in large numbers. All were males but one tagged on the 27th, several more females on the 28th and today the number is still increasing but fewer than 1 in 10.
