Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 08/30/2001

Number: 1

My Husband and I have been gathering caterpillers and Milkweed from the fields around our property. We are keeping them in a net covered pet cage until they emerge into Monarch Butterflies, then we release them to fly wherever they wish . Today 2 hatched out and were let go. About a week ago, we let 3 others go. Something had been killing the larva, therefore that is why we were bringing them home, and sheltering them until they were able to fly to freedom. They certinaly are BEAUTIFUL !!!
