Just want to let you know that after a long hot summer our milkweed is hosting quite a few caterpillars. We did see a monarch around the plants about a week ago. Last evening I counted over 20 hungry caterpillars muching away. We will try to observe a few of the crystilis with the first graders after Labor Day. (It is too hard to keep them fed over the weekend.)
