Steady Progress: Rufous Hummingbird Migration Map and Data
Mike Patterson writes that female Rufous Hummingbirds were being seen at the mouth of the Columbia River and inland at Wilderville, Oregon. Like the males, the females are running early this year.

If YOU see a Rufous Hummingbird in the West, make sure you report it to Mike Patterson. And if you see hummers, make sure you let him know if any flowers are blooming, too!
First Ruby-throats Arrive in Florida! Ruby-throated Hummingbird Migration Map and Data
The first Ruby-throated Hummingbird report for Florida came on February 24, 2003, in Gainsville. Now there have been several Gulf coast sightings. Spring is coming!
