Hummingbird Migration Update: April 15, 2003 (Data
Only)
Today's Report Includes:
Rufous Hummingbirds
Make Big Push into Alaska!
Despite cooler than average temperatures, Mike
Patterson reports that Rufous
Hummingbirds made a big push into Alaska last week, with many now in the
Juneau area. Two Rufous Hummingbirds were also reported east of the Cascades,
in Winfield, British Columbia and Peshastin, Washington. High numbers
of Rufous Hummingbirds are still being reported
around feeders west of the Cascades.

If YOU see a Rufous Hummingbird in the West, make sure you report it to Mike Patterson. And if you see hummers, make sure you let him know if any flowers are blooming, too!
