Day 5 of Waiting (+0 Miles)
January 20, 2008: Migration Day 89

Photo Operation Migration

Brrrr. It turned cold, and the trike wings are coated with ice after yesterday's drenching rains. No matter. The winds on the ground and aloft are way too much for cranes and planes. Disappointing for sure. But everyone is safe as they endure down day #5 in Hamilton County, Florida, and tomorrow will be an unbelievable Day 90.

Journal Question:
Why is ice on the wings a problem? Think about your answer and compare it to Joe's. See Ultralight Pilot's Checklist: Weather or Not? to find his answer.
