Freezing Fog! No Go (+0 Miles)
December 31, 2007: Migration Day 69

Photo Megan Kennedy, Operation Migration

It's day 2 on the ground at Tennessee's Hiwassee Refuge with 738.3 miles gone. Freezing fog is the culprit. It's impossible to see more than a quarter of a mile. It will be hours before the fog lifts, so no flight will happen today.

In the Classroom
Today's Journal Question: Today is the last day of 2007. Write a sentence in your journal that describes another FIRST for the migration of the Class of 2007, and for the 7-year history of ultralight-led migrations.

Migration History: Take a look at the number of days to complete the migration after leaving Cumberland County, Tennessee in past years. Then make your prediction for the ending date of migration 2007.
