15, 2003 Crosswinds but a Training Flight
Today broke cool and sunny, with a light frost. It was close to perfect, but the wind came from the west at 7 mph. This wasn't a headwind, but was is called a crosswind, and would have blown the birds from the side as they were trying to move south. So they didn't take off again today. Fortunately, the conditions did permit the birds to take a training flight for the first time in a week. Will they take off tomorow? Stay tuned!
