Observation Post #18 Most northbound whales (except for the early ones) migrate through narrow Unimak Pass in June. This narrow sea passage is in the northeast Aleutian Islands. From here the whales are just a few weeks away from their prime arctic feeding grounds. Whale news is rare, as very few people are here to report sightings.
