A former elementary school teacher, Mary Hosier joined Journey North in 1998 as an artist in residence and horticultural consultant.

Since then she has been involved with almost all aspects of Journey North from summer workshops to visiting the monarch sanctuaries in Mexico. A proud grandmother of two, she keeps busy coordinating tulip Test Gardens, the Symbolic Migration, and tracking the spring hummingbird migrations from her office in Ohio.
