The fifth graders at Annunciation School came up with this list .
Monarchs don't migrate at night because:
the wind dies down too much
it becomes too cold
instinct tells them to fly during the day
they don't have any nocturnal enemies
not enough food supply at night
they don't taste good so they don't have to worry about predators
they can't see very well at night
