robins will migrate with the 36 degree isotherm. We believe that if the robin was on a colder isotherm, that the temperature would interfere with the migratory process because it might be too cold for the robins. The robins might occasionally stray from the 36 degree isotherm to warmer temperature isotherms, but never to colder isotherms. According to the Chicago Tribune, an eminent newspaper in the United States, all the others claiming to have sighted robins in their area, have temperatures in a 36 to 68 degree range. amin@mc.net
