How would you explain to a person who's new to tracking monarchs why it
is impossible to see a baby monarch butterfly? Because they are not babies
when they have wings. They are an egg, then they are caterpillars, then they
make a chrysalis. Then they hatch from the chrysalis and are full grown. When
hatched from egg they are babies.
