We are from Mariposa Elem. School in Mariposa, California and here is our
answer:
How would you explain to a person who's new to tracking monarchs why it
is impossible to see a baby monarch butterfly? You can't see a baby monarch
butterfly because they are not babies when they have wings. They are an egg,
then they are caterpillars, then they make a chrysalis. Then they hatch from
the chrysalis and are full grown. When hatched from the egg they are babies.
