It's good to have groups of whales from various feeding grounds mix in
the breeding grounds, because a strong genetic group of whales will be
developed. When there is one group of whales, they would have to mate
with their family members. Therefore, the offspring will have the same
old genes. The reproduction process would continue with the same genes
and the group of whales would be a weak genetic group. When there are
many groups of whales mating, they can mate with whales which are not
from their own family. Therefore, the offspring will have a diversity
of genes from each parent. In that way , the reproduction process will
go on with diffrent genes being mixed and passed to the offspring. The
outcome will be a strong genetic group.
