    challenge question # 1 (owl)

Owls must keep their eggs warm. This is because they lay their eggs
in late winter. They keep their eggs warm by placing feathers and
sticks on the bottom of their nests. The owls are bigger than their
nest. Therefore, cold air cannot enter and warm air cannot escape. The
eggs and the air inside the nest go through diffusion. The warm and
cold air mix so the eggs are warm throughout.
