         Being among the first would be disadvantage because the lakes might
    be frozen and they couldn't land or find food. The advantage would be
    having first choice of nesting sites.
         being among the last would be a disadvantage because nesting sites
    and mates could be hard to find. The advantage would be the ice is out
    so you can find food. It is warmer
