    March 12, 2001

Challenge Question #11: Do you think monarchs are safer on the ground
    or in a bough clust

This is the answer from Mrs. Dempsey's second grade class at Charlotte
    Dunning School, Framingham, MA:

Bough clusters because there were zero dead in a bough cluster, but 162
    dead on the ground.

Bough clusters. More survived in the normal box. In a bough cluster
183 were normal and 16 were normal on the ground.

Most of the data shows that bough clusters are better to be in than on
the ground. In the bough cluster box on Jan. 22, three were dead and
after Feb. 8, zero were dead. In the ground box, on Jan. 22, 81 were
dead and 162 were dead on Feb. 8.
