    Dear, Journey North

Mrs. Allen's second grade class is watching their tulips emerge from the
ground! We planted them last fall. They emerged on April 19, 2001. Mrs.
Allen sprinkled ivory soap flakes around the tulips so preditor's won't
eat the tulips. We report that there are less tulips on the right than the
left. The tulips are trapping water in their leaves. Other classes are
putting their tulips under trees and they are blooming. When our tulips
bloom we are going to cut one in half to see inside the tulip.
