Our tulips are not blooming because they need sunlight and until the sprout
is long enough and comes out of the soilthey can't have any sunlight because
the soil blocks the sunlight from getting to the bulb so it can grow. But
underground it is still growing. We know because we dug up a tulip bulb and
we saw that the sprout was growing along with the roots. We predict that
the tulips will bloom earlier than usual because of this warm weather. Our
daily soil temperaturs is about 70 degrees.
