One of the main differences between transient killer
whales and resident killer whales is their food source
and hunting habits. Transient killer whales are more
likely to seek out other marine mammals as their
staple food source while resident killer whales are
more likely to eat fish local to their "home base".
Transient killer whales are also better cooperative
hunters.
