The four birds that we picked were cranes #402, #403, #417, and #420 because they are dominant and are capable leaders. If we wanted to track a flock of cranes, we would put a satellite transmitter on the leader because a flock of birds usually follows one leader. To have an accurate migration route of the whole flock, you can depend on the leader.
