Our first grade class received butterflies from the following places:

    Troy Middle School, Plainfield, Illinois
Booker T. Washington Elem., Lexington, KY
    K. Gomez Science class, Union Ave. School, Margate, NJ- 11 butterflies!
West Patent Elem., Bedford Hills, NY
    Springside School, Philadelphia, PA
Mrs. Evans's class, Robinson Elementary, Waco, TX

These butterflies were cared for by a girl in 5th grade at Amado Nerba
Escuela in Lugar, Ocampo whose teacher's name is Byiseida Solis Ochoa. (The
writing was hard to decipher so I hope I got these right!)

The class was thrilled when the butterflies arrived!!! Unfortunately, we
received the butterflies right at the end of the school year and were
unable to find enough time to write to the creators of the beautiful
butterflies. When our next school year begins on July 31st, I will use
these butterflies to create interest and help the "new" 1st graders to
learn geography, social studies, and letter writing.

    Thanks for participating!

    Mrs. Diane Bartrug
    1st Grade teacher
    Randolph Howell Elementary
    653 Bear Creek Pike
    Columbia, TN 38401
