Monarchs travel to the south. They go from Canada all the way to
Mexico. They can fly up to three thousand miles. Monarchs travel North to
South because Monarch butterflies can not survive a long cold winter,
instead they spend winter in their roosting spot . They fly in masses to
the same winter roost each year.
