    The students in our class thought about why it might be impossible to
    see a baby monarch migrating.

    Tiffany wrote: "Because when they are born they are adults."

    Shamerria said: "When an egg hatches, then a caterpillar comes out. Then
    it makes a chrysalis and stays in it for a few weeks and comes out. When
    it comes out it is an adult."

    Shannon said: "They grow up too fast, that is why you can't see a baby
    monarch migrating. It is impossible to see that. And they are grownups
    in the beginning.
