    Challenge Question #14:
    "How a whale?Äôs flippers similar to and different from your hands?"
     
    The skeleton of a gray whale flipper has four long fingers looks similar to a human hand. However, the fingers in the flippers cannot be moved individually like our fingers can, and instead whales use the entire flipper. An example for this is when a whale mother use her flippers to hold her baby close while it nurses.
