Mrs. Nunnally's second grade class at Peter Woodbury School in Bedford NH thinks that monarchs get the water to survive the dry season in Mexico from:
water people dropped or spilled on the ground
dew on the ground in the morning
water in a puddle if it did rain
places and things like buckets around people's houses
streams
places far away from the mountains like a swamp
One student wondered if monarchs have a place to store water in their bodies.
