It's October, and hummers are becoming sparser. The number of reports to our map is down 43% from a week ago and down 63% from two weeks ago. In number of total hummers reported, that's a decrease of 65% from last week and a whopping 77.5% down from two weeks ago. The tiny visitors moved out ahead of cold fronts and rain, and were joyfully welcomed wherever they landed.
