This week's 216 reports totalling 399 hummers was a big drop compared to last week's 400 reports and 954 hummers. Adult males are growing scarce, at 23 sightings (5.8% of all hummers reported by our observers) compared with last week's 58 males. Almost all the male hummingbirds were in the Gulf states of Texas, Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Louisiana, and Mississippi.
