Campbell River, British Columbia, Canada: Put my feeder out two days ago, when the red-flowering currant came into bloom and today, two days later, I have seen my first Rufous Hummingbird at it. Maple Ridge, British Columbia, Canada: Had a confirmed male rufous at my feeder tonight. Had our first male on 23 March of last year and thought these guys would be early. Have flowering currant blooms starting to open in the garden (10 ft. from the feeder), so this guy sure timed it right! Mooresville, North Carolina: What a lovely surprise! Been waiting so long.
