Refuge on the Gulf
One hundred miles off the coast of Louisiana, research scientist Allison Heater welcomed some surprise visitors. On March 22nd, 3 or 4 hummingbirds found refuge on the research vessel, Atlantis. "After spotting the hummingbirds we quickly rigged up some sugar water feeders."
They're Back
Rubythroats have moved up into Tennessee, North Carolina, and Missouri this week. "Woo-hoo, finally first of the season," exclaimed a Louisiana spotter this week.
