Anna's are among the most common hummingbirds found along the Pacific Coast. Their range has expanded over the years up the Coast from California to the Alaskan Panhandle. The male's head and throat are covered in beautiful iridescent rose-pink feathers giving it the nickname 'the flying jewel'.
