Ruby-throat Reachs 38°N Taking advantage of southern winds this week, a Ruby-throat made it to Bicknell, Indiana (38.7°N). Watch the wind to predict where and when Rubies will arrive in your backyard. Last week brought 90 new sightings — most located between 32.5°N and 35°N. Rufous Find Ready Habitat

Bella, an Allen's hummingbird, has been nesting in the branches of a ficus tree in La Verne, California. Right now, Bella is incubating her second brood of the season, two eggs laid on March 18th and 20th.
