Rufous Reach 61°N
This week Rufous hummingbirds arrived at 61°N, close to the northernmost edge of their breeding range.

"While I was admiring Adonis, the bald eagle, at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, a little hummingbird, shining like an emerald in the sun, suddenly flew in and hovered around for about 30 seconds! It was so amazing to see the size difference between these two beautiful birds! Wow - What a gift!"
