Take time to explore the woodlands, rivers, and fields to see how ready your habitat is for the first arriving hummingbirds. Ohio naturalist Jim McCormac recently explored the Ohio River counties and found quite a list of flowering plants incuding; Colt's-foot (Tussilago farfara), Bird's-foot Violet (Viola pedata), Wild Onion, Dwarf Larkspur (Delphinium exaltatum), and the Cross-vine (Bignonia capreolata) a relative of the Trumpet Vine.
