Ohio naturalist Jim McCormac recently explored the Ohio River counties and found quite a list of flowering plants incuding; Colt's-foot (Tussilago farfara), Bird's-foot Violet (Viola pedata), Wild Onion, Dwarf Larkspur (Delphinium exaltatum), and the Cross-vine (Bignonia capreolata) a relative of the Trumpet Vine.
