Symbolic Migration Lessons

Dear Friends,
Our third graders received Symbolic Buterflies that were cared for this winter by a Mexican student. They spent the winter in Mexico clustered with butterflies from 10 different states and Ontario Canada.
Here are the schools where the butterflies we received came from:

Southeast Elementary School...Jenks, Oklahoma
Lt. Peter M. Hansen School...Canton, Maryland
Rice Creek Elementary School...Columbia, South Carolina
St. Andrews School...Savannah, Georgia
Concord Academy Boyne...Boyne City, Michigan
Novak Elementary...Marion, Iowa
Hillsborough Township Public Schools..Amsterdam School...Hillsborough, New Jersey
and two that were tagged on the Monarch's Migration Pathway in Saltillo, Coahuilla, Mexico
The twenty four students in our two classes were very delighted with all the beautiful butterflies we received. We are out of school now until mid August so you may not here from us for a while. Each student took a butterfly home for the summer and were given the opportunity to write to the student who made it. Perhaps some of you will get mail.
