Estela Romero (right) with her mother at the family's store
in Angangueo. Two of the largest monarch sanctuaries are
in the mountains above the town of Angangueo. Many of the Romero's
customers come down from the mountains to shop. These customers are
often the first people to announce the monarchs' arrival. In Estela's
report this week (English/Español),
she says
she asked people who live near the Chincua and El Rosario monarch
sanctuaries if they have seen monarchs yet.
